Large Agency Chief of the Year Award: Awarded to any Oklahoma Chief Law Enforcement Officer who is a current member in good standing and has distinguished him or herself in a commendable manner during the calendar year for which the award is presented. They also must serve a population of 10,000 or more, according to the last official census.
Small Agency Chief of the Year Award: Awarded to any Oklahoma Chief Law Enforcement Officer who is a current member in good standing and has distinguished him or herself in a commendable manner during the calendar year for which the award is presented. They also must serve a population of 10,000 or less, according to the last official census.
Large Agency Officer of the Year Award: Awarded to any full-time Oklahoma Law Enforcement Officer who has distinguished him or herself in a commendable manner in an agency that serves a population of 10,000 or more.
Small Agency Officer of the Year Award: Awarded to any full-time Oklahoma Law Enforcement Officer who has distinguished him or herself in a commendable manner in an agency that serves a population of less than 10,000.
Legislator of the Year Award: Awarded to any legislator for their efforts in supporting responsible policies significantly and positively impacting Oklahoma Law Enforcement.
Prosecutor of the Year Award: Awarded to any prosecutor who has performed their duties with outstanding job performance, enthusiasm, teamwork and integrity by acknowledging their exemplary work in the pursuit of justice and promoting and maintaining a positive working relationship with Oklahoma Law Enforcement.
Police Cross: Awarded to an immediate family member of an officer whose life was lost in the line of duty, according to Officer Down Memorial Page.
Retired Chief Award: Awarded to any retired chief law enforcement officer who has been a member of OACP for at least 10 years and a chief law enforcement officer for at least 5 years. Please use the Retired Chief Award Form to notify staff of an upcoming retirement.
