Animal cruelty and fighting investigations: considerations for Oklahoma enforcement officers,” is an in-person training conducted by The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) Law Enforcement Training Center (LETC) and hosted by Creek County Sheriff’s Office. This course is open to law enforcement, field and animal services officers, humane investigators, code enforcement, veterinarians, prosecutors and judges. This class has been cataloged by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training for 8 hours of mandatory continuing education credit.

Topics include:

-Reviewing Oklahoma’s animal crimes statutes

-Critical evidence collection and documentation

-Report writing, warrants, affidavits

-Animal fighting investigations

-Presenting cases in court
