New Driver License Card Training
Service Oklahoma invites law enforcement agencies to attend one of our in-person training sessions on Oklahoma’s physical driver license and state ID, which will be issued as part of the new driver license system launching in February 2026.
Training will cover the updated card design, security features, layout and data elements, with a focus on what officers and investigators may encounter during credential verification in the field. Sessions will be led by the driver license card vendor, who will walk through the card features and answer questions.
To support statewide access, agencies are asked to use the following participation guidance when registering:
Large agencies: approximately 10–15 attendees
Mid-size agencies: approximately 5–8 attendees
Small or rural agencies: approximately 2–4 attendees
Where possible, agencies are encouraged to include at least one designated trainer, supervisor or lead who can support internal knowledge sharing following training.
Parking is located just north of Building 5. Should this lot fill up, there is overflow parking in Parking Garage 2, just east of Building 5.

Use of Force Encounters
The Oklahoma Fraternal Order of Police & Oklahoma Association of Chiefs of Police are proud to partner in hosting:
Force Science-Use of Force Encounters course
This two-day, high-impact training goes beyond policy and tactics to examine what truly occurs during high-stress and life-threatening encounters. The course focuses on how the brain, body, perception, and memory function under extreme stress, and how those physiological and psychological realities directly influence use-of-force decisions and outcomes.
Whether you are a new officer, experienced patrol officer, supervisor, or command staff, this course delivers practical, research-based insight that applies directly to real-world policing.
Why This Course Matters
Grounded in peer-reviewed research and reinforced by real-world case studies, this Force Science program provides officers with a deeper understanding of:
· How attention, decision-making, and reaction time are affected under stress
· The impact of adrenaline, focus, and trigger speed on shooting performance
· Why memory distortion occurs following critical incidents
· How video evidence can influence—and sometimes misrepresent—use-of-force encounters
· How speed of assault, fatigue, and threat dynamics affect de-escalation, traffic stops, and investigations
This training enhances officer safety, improves split-second decision-making, and provides critical context for what occurs after an incident—administratively, legally, and publicly.
