Colt 1911 Armorer's Course

The Colt 1911 Armorers Course covers the Colt 1911, including Series 80, Series 70 and variants. The course is 16 class hours over 2 days with no shooting included. Day one (1) includes history, nomenclature, theory of operation, complete field disassembly, parts identification and troubleshooting. Day two (2) includes extractor tuning, safety fitting and checks, written test, practical exam, and graduation.

Graduation Requirements: Students must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: disassembly, reassembly, identification of mechanical deficiencies and corrective actions. The student must also attain a score of 70% or better on the Armorer Written Test.

Certification: 3 Year Colt Law Enforcement 1911 Armorer
Resources: Colt will provide all necessary tools and firearms to conduct training
Eligibility: Active Law Enforcement, Corrections, Military, Nuclear Security Only.
