Hosted by Guymon Police department, this training, “Animal cruelty investigations: considerations for Oklahoma officers,” will cover:
• Considerations for assessing potential violations and different solutions/remedies
• The link between animal abuse and other violent crime
• Report writing and warrants
• Recognizing and collecting relevant evidence
This course is open to law enforcement, field and animal services officers, humane investigators, code enforcement, veterinarians, prosecutors and judges. This class has been cataloged by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training for 2 hours of mandatory continuing education credit.
